Hey guys....so sorry it has been so long. The pic above was my last look at Charles as a non-Grad walking into his ceremony. He has had many struggles in his short life and worked so hard for this. He did not know most of this Class because he obtained his diploma in a non-traditional method. I am Sooooooo proud of him.
The ceremony was held in a college gymnasium. It had some air conditioning but nowhere near enough. It was hot as you know what! I was feeling sick before the ceremony even started. My mom and Charles' girlfriend sat on either side and fanned me. If not for them, I would not have made it. Not exactly what you want your mother having to do at her grandsons' graduation. I had been waiting for this moment all of his life....they would have to take me out on a stretcher to miss this! Unfortunantely someone did leave by ambulance. The thing that confused us was that there was an open air football field right next to the gym. AND it was a nice cool night. Didn't many graduations used to be held in football fields? Anyway, we made it.
I am Soooooo proud of him! And more updates will follow...I promise not to be MIA for this long again.
